Seattle Wedding | It was around this time last year Kara & I thought it was about time we plan a overseas holiday. We had just had a beautiful baby girl so it sounded a little crazy to be planning a adventure overseas, but we hadn’t had a holiday in 5 years so hey we deserve it. Two things things came to mind, Camper Van & the Pacific North West of America. It was one part of the world I always wanted to get to, for its natural beauty, its national parks, its mountains, its food & of course its craft beer & coffee!
There was another reason we had chosen to travel to the Pacific North West, that reason was Kristy & Sam. You see, once we had the small kindling of a idea of traveling to the States, I floated the idea of shooting a wedding in Seattle. I posted that idea out there on Facebook & Instagram for any adventurous couples that would love to take on a Australian wedding photographer for their upcoming wedding. It was a long shot but it was always a dream of mine, so I had nothing to lose. Along came Kristy. She was just as excited about the idea as I was, so we hooked up a Skype date & before I knew it my flights were booked and this shiz from real.
Kristy, Sam & I all have something in common. We all met online. Though their story is a little more special than mine. I can’t thank these two enough. After installing all their trust in me, they flew me over to document their amazing wedding day. They took me exploring through their glorious State, we climbed mountains, chased waterfalls & stumbled through city markets. I am so lucky to do what I do. Not only did I see some amazing places I may never of seen, I made some amazing friends for life on the other side of the world.
Kristy & Sam’s wedding was next level. The week of the wedding we had planned to catch up for a location shoot up at Mount Rainier National Park. This was a great idea for many reasons. One, we had a full day up our sleeve to travel to the most amazing locations. Two, it free’d up so much more time for Kristy & Sam to spend time with their friends, family & actually enjoy their wedding day. And what a day that was thanks to The Red Barn Farm. This place had everything. I’m sure the photos will say the rest…
This wedding is one that am I still so grateful to have been a part of and am very humbled by. Thank you once again Kristy and Sam, for entrusting me to capture your EPIC wedding day. #Vanlife
